Roof Repair. Fixed Right — or We Tell You Why Not.

7V Roofing repairs leaks, flashing failures, and storm-damaged shingles across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida from our base in Atlantic Beach. Every repair starts with a free roof assessment and a straight answer about whether a repair is actually the right call for your roof.

Repair or Replace

An Honest Repair Company Says "No" Sometimes

A repair is the right call when the damage is isolated — a wind-lifted section, a failed pipe boot, corroded flashing at a chimney — and the roof around it still has real life left. It's the wrong call when leaks keep coming back, when the shingles are at the end of their lifespan, or when the damage covers enough of the roof that Florida's 25% rule turns a "repair" into a code-required section replacement.

We tell you which one you're looking at during the free assessment, and we put the recommendation in a written, itemized estimate. If replacement is the smarter path, it comes with the Owens Corning Standard Product Limited Lifetime Warranty on materials and the 7V 10-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty on the installation — see how a 7V replacement works.

  • Free assessment first. We find the actual source of the leak — it's rarely where the stain is — and walk you through exactly what we find.
  • Written, itemized estimate before any work. No verbal numbers.
  • Matched materials. Shingles matched as closely as manufacture and weathering allow — we'll show you the match before we install it.
  • Flashing, boots, and penetrations done properly. Sealant-only "repairs" are how you buy the same leak twice.
  • Cleanup and a final site walkthrough, same as a full replacement. Magnetic nail sweep included.

What Actually Fails Here

The repairs we see most across Jacksonville and the beaches follow the climate: wind-creased and lifted shingles after nor'easters and tropical systems, UV-cracked pipe boots that fail years before the shingles around them, and flashing corrosion on coastal homes in Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach where salt air attacks every exposed metal component.

Inland, in neighborhoods like Fleming Island, the pattern shifts to heat-cycle aging and ventilation-driven wear — which is why our assessment always includes the attic-side picture, not just the shingles you can see from the street.

Repair Questions

Straight Answers

If the damage is isolated and the roof has years of life left, repair. If leaks recur, the shingles are at end of life, or the damaged area is large enough to trigger Florida's 25% rule, replacement is usually the honest answer. We tell you which applies during the free assessment — no pitch either way.

Many small repairs don't, but larger scopes do — and if more than 25% of a roof section is worked on within 12 months, the Florida Building Code generally requires bringing that section up to current code. We tell you exactly which category your repair falls into and pull the permit when one is required.

Usually, closely — we identify the manufacturer and color line and source the nearest current match. A weathered roof will never match new shingles perfectly, and we'll show you the difference honestly before we install anything rather than let you discover it from the curb.

Contain the water inside with a bucket and move belongings, poke a small drain hole in a bulging ceiling bubble to prevent a collapse, and stay off the roof — wet shingles are dangerous. Then call us at (904) 337-9606. Active leaks get priority scheduling.

It depends on what's actually failing: the source and extent of the leak, materials, roof pitch, and access. We don't quote numbers sight unseen — you get a written, itemized estimate after the free assessment, and the number you see is the number you can hold us to.

Leak, Lifted Shingles, or Just Not Sure?

Free assessment, straight answer, written estimate. If it doesn't need fixing, we'll tell you that too.
