Roof Replacement. Documented From Tear-Off to Warranty.

7V Roofing is an owner-led roofing contractor based in Atlantic Beach, FL that replaces roofs across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. Every replacement uses the Owens Corning Duration architectural shingle system and follows the same documented seven-step process — the 7V Standard.

What's Included

A Replacement Isn't a Product. It's a Process.

Most roofs in Northeast Florida don't fail because the shingles were bad. They fail because of what happened underneath and around them — skipped underlayment steps, unpermitted work, decking that got covered instead of replaced, and ventilation nobody checked. A 7V replacement addresses all of it, in order, on every job.

  • Free roof assessment first. We get on the roof, assess its real condition, and walk you through exactly what we find. If you don't need a replacement, we tell you that.
  • Written, itemized estimate. Materials, labor, scope, and total cost in writing before you sign anything. No verbal numbers, no ranges.
  • Permit pulled before work begins. Filed with your county or city building department on every job. Non-negotiable.
  • Full tear-off and deck evaluation. Old material comes off completely. The deck is checked board by board and rot is replaced — we don't roof over a compromised surface.
  • Owens Corning Duration system, installed in sequence. Drip edge, underlayment, ice & water shield at vulnerable points, starter strip, shingles, flashing at every penetration, ridge cap.
  • Cleanup with a magnetic sweep and a final site walkthrough. Your property should look better than when we arrived.
  • Two written warranties at completion: the Owens Corning Standard Product Limited Lifetime Warranty on materials and the 7V 10-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty on the installation.
Northeast Florida Specifics

Built for This Coast, Not a Catalog

Florida Building Code sets some of the strictest wind uplift requirements in the country, and Northeast Florida adds its own conditions on top: salt air that corrodes flashing and fasteners near the beaches, daily heat cycling that ages shingles from below when attic ventilation is out of balance, and older neighborhoods where 1×6 board decking hides decades of moisture history.

That's why the deck evaluation and the intake/exhaust ventilation check are steps in our process rather than upsells. It's also why the permit matters: your county's building department reviews and inspects the work, which protects your home's title, resale value, and warranty coverage. If a contractor tells you a permit isn't needed for a replacement in Florida, walk away.

We install roofs from the beaches — Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach — through Jacksonville and inland to Orange Park and St. Augustine. Same crew standard, same documentation, everywhere.

Replacement Questions

Straight Answers

Most single-family homes in Northeast Florida are torn off and reroofed in one to two days once materials are on site. The permit approval before that varies by county — we handle the filing and give you a realistic start date with your written estimate, not a guess.

Yes. Every roof replacement in Florida requires a permit from your local building department, and the finished work is inspected by the county. We pull the permit on every job — it's included in your estimate — and the final sign-off goes on your home's record.

Under the Florida Building Code, if more than 25% of a roof section is repaired or replaced within a 12-month period, that section generally must be brought up to current code. It's a key reason larger "repairs" often become replacements — we walk you through where your roof stands during the free assessment.

Two, both in writing at completion: the Owens Corning Standard Product Limited Lifetime Warranty on the shingle materials, and the 7V 10-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty on the installation itself. If something fails because of how it was installed, we come back and fix it.

It depends on the factors we measure at your home: roof size and pitch, deck condition, the number of penetrations and valleys, material disposal, and access. We don't publish prices because honest numbers can't be generic. You get a written, itemized estimate after a free assessment — call (904) 337-9606 to set one up.
